The enemy tried to actively advance in the Sumy direction, making this direction a priority along with Pokrovsky. However, the Ukrainian military struck in the Tyotkino area, which is in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, which forced the enemy to transfer forces there.

This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting with journalists, “TSN” reports.

“The Ukrainian armed forces struck in the Kursk region in the Tyotkino direction. Now the Russians have transferred forces there so that there is no our advance there. They really are holding us there, but they cannot withdraw from there. Therefore, I believe that the division of their group into pieces did not give them the opportunity to advance deeper in the Sumy direction,” the president said.

The president added that there are also no significant changes in the Pokrovsk direction – the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being held. According to him, the fighting is taking place near Andriyivka and Kindrativka, where Russian units are suffering losses.

“That is why the fighting is going on at this distance, where Andriyivka, Kindrativka. In each of these points you can find up to a company of “Russian” soldiers who were there. That is, they were destroyed by our troops. That is, this is the correct story, so that their accumulation is reduced,” the head of state added.
