The 1,269th day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. From August 14 to 15, 149 battles were recorded on the front line. The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 53 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy stormed 21 times in the Novopavlivka direction, and 20 assaults were repelled in the Lyman direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy launched two missile strikes with two missiles and 81 air strikes, dropping 162 guided bombs on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas. In addition, it carried out 5,839 shellings, 88 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 5,593 kamikaze drones to strike targets.
The aggressor carried out air strikes on the following populated areas:
- Boyaro-Lezhachi in Sumy region;
- Novodanilivka, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Lviv in Kherson region.
Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions
Five combat engagements took place in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. The enemy carried out 12 air strikes, dropped 28 guided bombs, and carried out 288 shelling attacks, including seven with multiple launch rocket systems.
South Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Lyman, and Siversky directions
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy carried out one offensive action near Hlyboky since the beginning of the day.
Five attacks by the occupiers took place in the Kupiansk direction over the past day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kupiansk, Golubivka, and Zagryzove.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 20 times. They attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Ridkodub, Hrekivka, Myrne, Shandryholove, Kolodyazi, and Karpivka.
In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled nine enemy attacks over the past day. The occupying forces attempted to advance in the areas of Hryhorivka, Verkhniokam’yanske, Vyimka, and in the direction of Serebryanka.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
In the Kramatorsk direction, two clashes were recorded in the area of Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out five attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, Oleksandr-Kalynove, and in the direction of Pleshchiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 53 assaults and offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of Popiv Yar, Poltavka, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, Nikanorivka, Mayak, Volodymyrivka, Shakhov, Rubizhne, Vilne, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Mykolaivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Promin, Kotlyne, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoukrainka, and in the direction of Balagan.
Novopavlivka, Prydniprovsk, Orikhiv, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 21 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Tolstoy, Oleksandrograd, Maliivka, Zelenoye Pole, Voskresenka, Temirivka, Novodarivka, Zelenyi Hai, Mirne, and in the direction of Filiya, Zaporizhzhia, and Komyshuvakha.
Over the past day, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions.
In the Dnipro direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled six enemy offensive operations.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
