Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi met with volunteers Serhiy Sternenko, Ihor Lachenkov, founder of the Dignitas Charitable Foundation Liubov Shipovych and co-founder of the NGO “Principle” Liubov Galan.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The meeting took place a week after Sternenko claimed that the Commander-in-Chief was possibly involved in putting him on the wanted list for allegedly failing to appear when summoned.
“We discussed a number of pressing issues for all components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces – from technological innovations in the troops to the urgent tasks of consolidating society around the army. The participants agreed that such meetings are useful because they provide an opportunity for constructive discussion,” the General Staff said.
Sergiy Sternenko added on his social media that he joined the meeting to “personally discuss all the issues that I have been raising for a long time.”
“I conveyed the most pressing issues, such as the creation of an effective mechanism for changing the place of service (transfer), the need to assess the effectiveness of commanders to maximize the safety of people and structural and organizational issues. Separately, I spoke about the further development of unmanned systems, including for air defense,” Sternenko said.
