On August 19, Russian forces struck Zhytomyr with BanderoL loitering munitions. Two police officers were killed in the attack. Dozens of people were injured.

The strike caused a fire on the roof and the fourth floor of the building.
Police officers, rescuers and other emergency services are working at the scene.
