Since the beginning of 2025, the Russian army has lost almost 170,000 soldiers. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexander Syrsky.
‘Enemy losses since the beginning of the year have reached almost 170,000 (169,970),’ Syrsky said.
Syrsky thanked Ukrainian defenders for their courage, endurance and faith in victory, stressing that the struggle continues.
This figure covers just over four months of 2025 and demonstrates the high price the Russian Federation is paying for continuing its war of aggression against Ukraine.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total losses of the Russian army since the start of the full-scale invasion amount to approximately 960,770 people.
