        SBU struck Belbek airfield in Crimea: Russian air defence systems and MiG-31 were hit

        On the night of 18 December, long-range drones from the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Centre struck Russian air defence systems at the Belbek military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. A MiG-31 was also hit. The cost of the destroyed and damaged equipment is estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars.

        This was reported by the SBU.

        As a result of targeted strikes by Ukrainian drones, the following were hit:

        • two Nebo-SVU long-range radar detection systems (each costing almost $60-100 million);
        • a 92N6 radar, which is part of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system (approximate price for the domestic market $30 million, export price $60 million);
        • Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile system (approximate price for the domestic market $12 million, export price $19 million);
        • MiG-31 aircraft with a full combat load (approximate price $30-50 million depending on configuration and armament).
