According to the SBU, one of the fighters was on a taxiway with a full combat load and ready for a sortie and was destroyed. The estimated value of the two damaged aircraft is about $70 million.

A strike on the airfield’s control tower was also confirmed, which may complicate the organization and control of flights at Belbek.

This was the second successful SBU attack on the airfield in recent days. On December 18, SBU drones hit Russian equipment at Belbek worth hundreds of millions of dollars, including two Nebo-SVU radars, a 92N6 radar from the S-400 Triumf system, a Pantsir-S2 air defense system, and a MiG-31 aircraft with a full combat load.

The SBU said that systematic strikes on key military airfields, as well as the destruction of enemy aircraft and air defense systems in temporarily occupied Crimea, significantly reduce Russia’s military potential in the region and that this effort will continue.
