Russian troops have begun using a new type of kamikaze drone against Ukraine. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine and published a photo of the wreckage.
Over the past week alone, Sumy has experienced five attacks by these drones. Russians use them to attack civilians. The attacks killed one person and injured three others.
The new drone has an airplane-like design: a gray body, two wings arranged in a “stacked” pattern, and an electric motor with a push rotor in the tail. The nose carries a warhead weighing about 3 kg.
Due to its compact size and low-noise engine, the drone is difficult to detect.
Military expert Sergey Flesh published additional photos of the wreckage. According to Flesh, the electronics of this UAV were mass-produced in Russia. This may indicate mass production.
