The 1,170th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, 196 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. Most of the assaults were repelled by the Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk (61), Novopavlivka (32), and Lyman (24) directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched two missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using two missiles, as well as 89 air strikes, including 1,157 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 6,000 shelling attacks, including 151 with multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,891 kamikaze drones.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the areas of the following settlements:
- Boyaro-Lezhachi, Sumy region;
- Volodymyrivka, Kostiantynivka, Novopil in the Donetsk region;
- Malynivka, Huliaipole, Temyrivka, Novodarivka, Vysoke, Kamyanske in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Kozatsk in the Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman, and Siverskyi directions
In the Kharkiv direction, the aggressor stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, and Kamianka 11 times.
In the Kupiansk direction, six attacks by the occupiers took place over the past day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Hlushevka, Nova Kruglyakivka, and Zagryzove.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 24 times. They attempted to advance near Kopanok, Hrekivka, Kolodyaziv, as well as in the directions of Ridkodub, Novyi Mir, and Olhivka.
In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy carried out six attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Verkhniokam’yanske and Bilohorivka during the day.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
Ten combat clashes were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction in the areas of Bila Hora, Chasiv Yar, and Predtechino.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 13 attacks near Shcherbinivka, Toretsk, and in the direction of Diliivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 61 offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of Yelizavetivka, Pokrovsk, Troitske, Malynivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Zvirovo, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Bohdanivka, Andriivka, as well as in the directions of Bahatyr, Romanivka, Oleksiivka, Nova Poltavka, and Kotlyarivka.
Novopavlivka, Kursk, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, defense forces repelled 32 attacks on Ukrainian troops’ positions near Konstantynopil, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, as well as in the directions of Novopol, Bagatyr, and Odrne.
In the Huliaipilska direction, the enemy made one futile attempt to advance towards the village of Vysoke over the past day.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled seven enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove, Kam’yanske, and Shcherbakiv.
Over the past day, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to advance in the Dnipro direction.
In the operational zone in Kursk, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 19 attacks by Russian invaders over the past day. In addition, the enemy launched seven air strikes using 19 guided bombs and carried out 325 artillery strikes on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and populated areas, including one with multiple launch rocket systems.
No signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
