        Russian troops continue shelling Kherson region: there are dead and wounded

        Russian troops continue intensive shelling of Kherson and Beryslav districts and de-occupied settlements of Kakhovka district. Over the past day, the enemy attacked with artillery, mortars, aircraft and drones.

        According to the Kherson regional police, Kherson, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Inzhenerne, Tomyna Balka, Zelenivka, Sadove, Beryslav, Krupytsia, Zmiivka, Krasny Mayak, Novoraysk, Osokorivka, Burgunka, Kozatske, and Vesele were hit.

        The shelling damaged an apartment building, a kindergarten, a police car and two civilian vehicles.

        Russians conducted air strikes with three guided bombs on the settlements of Novoraysk and Beryslav communities.

        In Beryslav, a police car hit an enemy anti-personnel mine, probably a ‘petal’ type. A wheel was damaged, but law enforcement officers were not injured.

        In the morning, a 78-year-old man was killed by a Russian FPV drone near Bilozerka. Later, the drone attacked a civilian car: A 36-year-old man sustained explosive and craniocerebral injuries, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to his face, abdomen, and thigh. A 45-year-old woman sustained blast trauma, contusion and partial amputation of her legs.

        Two other residents of Bilozerka, a 69-year-old man and woman, sustained mine-blast injuries, concussions and contusions during an MLRS attack on 18 March.

        A cyclist was attacked by a drone in Tomyna Balka. The 56-year-old man sustained blast trauma, shrapnel wounds and contusion.

        In Antonivka, a 57-year-old woman sustained severe injuries to her hips, torso and limbs as a result of a drone strike. She was evacuated by police. Later, two more local residents suffered from enemy attacks: A 64-year-old man was hospitalised with open fractures of the jaw and leg, and a 79-year-old man sustained a laceration of the ear and contusion.

        Three other Antonovka residents were injured in the shelling on 20 March, all of whom were diagnosed with blast injuries and contusions.

        In Kherson and Dniprovsky district, Russians fired artillery, damaging a residential building and a kindergarten in the Korabel neighbourhood.

        On 19 March, a 50-year-old man was injured in Shyroka Balka when explosives were dropped from a drone, causing a head injury, concussion and shrapnel wound to his thigh.

        It also became known that last week a 74-year-old man was killed in Stanislav during shelling. His body was found in his yard.

        The police documented the aftermath of the attacks and opened 21 proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – ‘War Crimes’. Over the day, law enforcement officers processed 1,241 calls from citizens.
