Russian soldiers continue to deliberately kill peaceful Ukrainians. This was reported by the press centre of the 1st Army Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Azov’.
On 28 August, during aerial reconnaissance, Ukrainian soldiers recorded how the occupier shot an elderly man right in the courtyard of his house. The video shows that the victim was in civilian clothes and unarmed.
The DeepState monitoring project specified that the war crime took place in the village of Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region. According to available information, it was committed by a Russian serviceman of the 95th separate rifle regiment of the 5th separate motorised rifle brigade of the 51st army of the Russian Federation.
Azov emphasised that this is a direct violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention on the protection of civilians and further proof that the Russian army has no regard for law or morality. ‘Every crime is recorded. Every killer and their commanders will be punished,’ the unit stressed.
