On the night of September 30, a Russian attack drone targeted a residential house in the village of Chernechchyna, Krasnopillia community, in Ukraine’s Sumy region. The strike killed an entire family, according to Oleg Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
The house was home to a couple and their two young children. None of them survived. Rescuers pulled the bodies of the four victims — the parents and their sons, aged six and four — from under the rubble.
“This is a terrible and irreparable loss for the entire community and the region. I express my sincere condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the family,” Hryhorov said in his statement.
