On July 20, the Russian army launched a drone strike on the center of Sumy. The explosion occurred in a park near an educational institution.
As a result of the attack, two local residents were injured, including a 7-year-old child. Both sustained physical injuries and stress reactions. Private houses, cars and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
An investigative team and bomb disposal experts are working at the scene. Police are documenting the consequences of the attack. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — war crimes.
