According to Tsaplienko, the success of the defense forces in the Pokrovsk direction was also confirmed by Tregubov, spokesman for the Dnipro group. According to him, Ukrainian troops are destroying Russian logistics in Dobropillia, and the Russians are forced to retreat and are literally stuck in a narrow passage where they are being attacked from both sides.
Ukrainian troops have liberated 160 km² and cleared another 170 km², with seven settlements liberated and nine cleared.
The encirclement has effectively destroyed Russian plans for offensive operations around Pokrovsk.
