On the morning of July 3, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the city of Poltava. The first explosion was heard at around 8:42 AM, including in the city center, according to Suspilne. Several more explosions were reported after 8:50 AM.
As a result of the strikes, windows in nearby residential buildings were shattered and cars were damaged. According to Poltava City Council Secretary Kateryna Yamshchykova, the community came under a massive attack by Russian drones. Emergency services have been deployed to deal with the aftermath.
Local sources say that, preliminarily, one of the strikes hit the regional military enlistment office building (Territorial Recruitment Center). A large fire broke out following the drone attack.
