Russian forces carried out another attack on civilian gas infrastructure in Ukraine’s Poltava region overnight on October 29, according to Naftogaz CEO Serhiy Koretsky.
He said no one was injured, and repair crews are already on site assessing the damage and beginning restoration work.
“This is the seventh targeted attack on gas infrastructure since the beginning of October. The facilities targeted by Russia have no military significance. The only goal of these strikes is to deprive Ukrainians of gas and heat,” Koretsky stated.
He also expressed gratitude to Naftogaz Group employees who are working swiftly to restore the damaged sites.
