Russian forces have intensified offensive operations along nearly the entire front line. At the same time, Ukrainian troops regained control of almost 50 square kilometers in March.

The enemy is conducting offensive actions along a front line stretching about 1,200 km, said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. The heaviest fighting over the past month took place in the Oleksandrivsk, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and Lyman directions.

According to him, Ukrainian forces are conducting active defense and seizing the strategic initiative. In March, they managed to restore control over nearly 50 square kilometers of territory.

Syrskyi said the Ukrainian military maintains a high intensity of strikes against military and industrial facilities inside Russia. In particular, 76 such targets were hit in March, including 15 oil refining facilities.

He also emphasized the importance of fortifications and engineering barriers, and noted the introduction of new solutions in drone warfare, including the construction of sunken routes for the movement of equipment and personnel.
