Over the past week, Russia has launched 115 missiles of various types, nearly 1,900 guided aerial bombs and more than 3,000 attack drones against Ukraine. As a result of the attacks, more than 600,000 residents of Dnipro and the surrounding region were left without electricity, while 140 apartment buildings in the Zhytomyr region lost heating.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.
According to the president, on the morning of November 8, Russian forces attacked Komyshuvakha with an FPV drone, where emergency rescue operations have been underway for seven consecutive days following an airstrike that killed 55 people.
Zelenskyy stressed that people may still be trapped beneath the rubble.
“Absolute cynicism and cruelty,” the president said, commenting on the repeated attack.
Russian forces also struck energy infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region overnight. As a result, more than 600,000 people in Dnipro and the surrounding region were left without power.
The situation remains difficult in the Kharkiv region. Power outages have also been reported in other regions of Ukraine.
In the Zhytomyr region, 140 apartment buildings were left without heating following Russian shelling.
According to Zelenskyy, restoration work is underway in virtually every affected city and community. Energy workers, municipal utility staff and repair crews are working around the clock to restore electricity, water and heating supplies.
The president also outlined the scale of Russian attacks over the past week. During this period, Russian forces launched 115 missiles of various types, nearly 1,900 guided aerial bombs and more than 3,000 attack drones at Ukrainian cities and communities.
Zelenskyy noted that Russia is carrying out combined strikes involving large numbers of ballistic missiles. Many of the missiles used in the attacks were manufactured in 2026.
According to the president, Ukraine regularly provides its partners with information about Russian companies involved in the production of ballistic missiles.
In October, Ukraine imposed major sanctions packages targeting individuals and legal entities involved in this production. Zelenskyy emphasized the need to coordinate these restrictions with the European Union and the Group of Seven countries.
“If the world does not have enough anti-ballistic missile defenses to protect Ukrainian skies, missiles must be stopped on the production lines,” the president said.
He also expressed hope that the European Union would adopt a strong 22nd package of sanctions against Russia.
