The 1,210th day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. From June 16 to 17, 186 combat clashes were recorded on the front lines. The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 56 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction and 38 in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the invaders launched two missile and 56 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, used five missiles, and dropped 110 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 3,226 kamikaze drones and carried out 5,481 shelling attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and populated areas, including 96 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes on the following populated areas:
- Khotin, Kiyanitsa, Yablunivka in Sumy region;
- Shakhov in Donetsk region;
- Maliivka in Dnipropetrovsk region;
- Malyivka, Olgivske, Huliaipole, Berezove, Mala Tokmachka, Kamyanske, Novoselivka in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Mykolaivka in Kherson region.
Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled 38 assault operations by the occupiers since the beginning of the day. In addition, the enemy carried out 14 air strikes, dropping 32 guided bombs, and carried out 225 shelling attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and populated areas, including one with a multiple launch rocket system.
South Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Lyman, and Siversky directions
In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units four times in the areas of Dovhenke and Kamianka.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were four attacks by the occupiers during the day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Steppova Novoselivka, Zagryzove, and in the direction of Holubivka and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked seven times, trying to advance near the settlements of Kopanki, Nadiya, Hrekivka, Ridkodub, and Kolodyazi.
In the Siverskyi direction, in the area of Hryhorivka, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops once.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
In the Kramatorsk direction, 12 clashes were recorded in the areas of Chasovoy Yar, Kurdyumivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and in the direction of Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Diliivka, and in the direction of Shcherbinivka, Rusyn Yar, and Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 56 assaults and offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Popiv Yar, Myrolyubivka, Shevchenko Pershe, Promin, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Horikove, Kotlyarivka, Novopavlivka, Andriivka, and Oleksiivka.
Novopavlivka, Orikhiv, and Huliaipole directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 28 times in the areas of the settlements of Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Bahatyr, Burlatsk, and in the direction of Zaporizhzhia and Shevchenko.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four offensive actions by enemy units near Malynivka.
