On the night of September 12, Russian forces attacked Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles and strike drones and also carried out an attack on Odesa. One person was killed and three others were injured in Kryvyi Rih, while at least 12 people were reported injured in Odesa.
The consequences of the attacks were reported by Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, and Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.
According to Vilkul, one man in Kryvyi Rih is still considered missing. Two injured men, aged 54 and 58, sustained serious wounds: one is in moderate condition, while the other is in serious condition. They were taken to hospital, where doctors are performing surgery.
The strikes damaged an industrial facility, five apartment buildings, a primary healthcare center, three educational institutions and business premises. Information on the extent of the damage is still being clarified.
All relevant services have been deployed to deal with the aftermath. From 8:00 a.m., an assistance center is expected to open at a nearby school, where residents will be able to apply for financial aid from the city and receive construction materials.
In Odesa, a multi-storey residential building was damaged in the Russian attack.
As of 7:48 a.m., 12 people were known to have been injured. Emergency services are working at the scene, and response centers have been set up to assist residents.
The injured were taken to hospitals, where they are receiving the necessary medical care.
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.
