The number of those killed as a result of Russia’s strike on Kyiv on the night of July 6 rose to 16 people. Rescuers found another body under the rubble of a building in the Darnytskyi district.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, the bodies of other victims of the Russian attack may still be under the rubble. As a result of the shelling, 58 people were injured, among them seven children.
In the Darnytskyi district, using two hydro-elevators and a floating motor pump, rescuers pumped out about 110 cubic meters of water from the basement of a 25-story residential building. Psychologists and canine units of the State Emergency Service are working at the site.
Search and emergency rescue operations at the sites of destroyed residential high-rise buildings continue in two districts of the capital — Darnytskyi and Podilskyi.
