Passenger traffic at checkpoints in Lviv region has increased

In the pre-Christmas period, passenger traffic through checkpoints in the Lviv region increased by 25%. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).

The dynamics show a slight advantage of citizens leaving Ukraine over those entering. The overall increase in passenger traffic is observed both at entry and exit, which leads to the accumulation of vehicles at some checkpoints.

The highest load is currently recorded at Krakivets, Shehyni, Smilnytsia and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints. Hrushev, Uhryniv and Rava-Ruska remain less busy.

Border guards recommend that citizens choose less busy routes to reduce waiting time.

At the same time, the SBGS reminds that the speed of border crossing depends not only on the work of Ukrainian border guards, but also on the actions of neighbouring countries’ border services.
