Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, who has vacated four heavyweight championship titles, could face Tyson Fury for a third time or take on David Benavidez.
This was reported by Ring Magazine insider Mike Coppinger.
“There’s a good reason Oleksandr Usyk vacated his four heavyweight titles, and that’s because he is big-game hunting,” the post reads.
Tyson Fury and David Benavidez are among the potential opponents being considered for Usyk. A third fight with Fury is possible if the Briton defeats Anthony Joshua.
Earlier reports suggested a possible fight between Usyk and former world champion Deontay Wilder, which was planned for March 2027. Usyk himself had named the American as an opponent he wanted to face in his “last dance”.
However, negotiations over the Wilder fight became complicated by financial demands, with the two sides unable to agree on the terms of the bout.
Tyson Fury, meanwhile, had expressed his desire to face Usyk for a third time after his scheduled fight with Anthony Joshua. The bout between the two British boxers is set to take place in Cardiff on December 11.
Fury had named Madison Square Garden in New York as a possible venue for a third fight with Usyk.
The Briton lost to the Ukrainian champion twice in 2024.
Usyk’s most recent fight took place in May 2026 against kickboxer Rico Verhoeven near the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. The Ukrainian secured a victory by technical knockout in the 11th round.
