The Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia has been shut down following a nighttime drone attack, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium reports.

“The Kropotkinskoye oil pumping station is currently out of operation. Oil is being transported through the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system at reduced pumping rates, bypassing the oil filling station,” the statement said.

It also said that the attack was carried out by seven UAVs, which were filled with metal striking elements in addition to explosives.

The consortium’s management went to the site to assess the damage and determine the timing of the station’s resumption of operations.

Kropotkinskaya is the largest CPC oil pumping station in Russia and an important facility in the oil transportation system.
