A total of 91 rescuers and 18 pieces of equipment are involved in the extinguishing operations. According to experts, no increase in the radiation background has been recorded on the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and there is no release of radioactive substances beyond the established limits.

The SES also released new photos and videos from the scene.

“The situation and air condition are constantly monitored using a UAV with a thermal imager. The radiation background at the ChNPP site does not exceed the permissible values. The situation is under full control,” the rescuers said.
