President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during the London meeting, leaders of the “Coalition of the Willing” agreed on new steps to increase pressure on Russia and expand support for Ukraine.

The main decision concerns the expansion of sanctions targeting Russia’s oil industry — its companies, terminals, tanker fleet, and the entire energy infrastructure. Zelenskyy noted that allies backed the U.S. approach, which introduced sanctions against two major Russian oil firms.

The president also announced Europe’s political readiness to channel frozen Russian assets toward funding assistance for Ukraine. The mechanism is expected to be implemented by the end of the year, ensuring stable support in 2026.

Among other agreements are new military aid packages, including long-range weapons, strengthened air defense, Italy’s decision to support Ukraine’s energy sector, and Norway’s commitment to finance gas purchases.

Zelenskyy separately confirmed the signing of the first agreement with Sweden on the supply of Gripen fighter jets. Ukraine expects to receive up to 150 aircraft — an “historic step,” he said, toward strengthening the country’s defense.
