Near Selydove, the occupiers captured 4 National Guard soldiers and killed them after interrogation

Near the town of Selydove in Donetsk region, the occupiers captured four soldiers of the National Guard of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, interrogated them on camera and killed them.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

“Prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).”

It is reported that, according to operational data, on October 6, 2024, four servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine were performing combat missions at positions near the town of Selydove.

At about 13.00, the occupiers began an assault on the fortifications, during which they captured the defenders. Later, the Russians recorded the interrogation of the wounded unarmed National Guardsmen on video.

The next day, the Defense Forces regained their lost positions and discovered the bodies of the killed Ukrainian soldiers during a search operation.

The Office of the Prosecutor General emphasized that the examination of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the SBU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
