Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced steps to strengthen technological capabilities, electronic warfare and communications on the front line. Serhii Beskrestnov, known by the callsign Flash, has joined the team of advisers.
Fedorov said that Beskrestnov is one of the strongest practical experts in the fields of drones, electronic warfare and analysis of enemy solutions. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, he has been working directly on the front line and training Ukrainian troops in the most active combat zones.
Flash’s core expertise includes radio communications, electronic warfare systems and reconnaissance. He was the first to publicly report on Russia’s use of FPV drones with machine vision and jet-powered Shahed drones. His current focus is on developing systemic solutions to counter Russian strike and reconnaissance UAVs in order to reduce the effectiveness of enemy attacks and protect Ukrainian forces.
In addition, Flash will work on analyzing captured enemy equipment, studying logistics and technological solutions used by Russian forces and turning this experience into an advantage for Ukraine’s defense. He will also provide expert assessments of new military developments intended for immediate use in combat conditions.
Fedorov stressed that modern warfare is driven by technology, speed of decision-making and rapid adaptation, and that the development of electronic warfare systems is critically important on the battlefield.
