More than a third of Russian attacks took place in the Pokrovske direction, – General Staff
The 1076th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, 97 combat engagements were recorded.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched three missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using three missiles, as well as 63 air strikes, in particular, dropping 112 drones. In addition, it carried out more than 5,800 attacks, including 62 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,725 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
- Oleksandrivka, Sumy region;
- Hremyachka, Chernihiv region;
- Novopil, Donetsk region; Shcherbaki, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Kherson, Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman and Siversk directions
Two hostile attacks took place in the Kharkiv sector yesterday in the vicinity of Hatyshche.
In the Kupyansk sector, 18 occupants’ attacks took place over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, Bohuslavka, Zahryzove and Lozova.
The enemy attacked eight times in the Liman sector. He tried to advance near Novoyehorivka, Novolyubivka, Makiivka, Yampolivka and in the direction of Serebryanka.
In the Siversky sector, the enemy twice tried to force Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Bilohorivka and Ivano-Daryivka by assault. He was unsuccessful.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, two assault operations took place in the vicinity of Predtechyne and Chasiv Yar yesterday.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Krymske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped 39 aggressor attacks towards Zelene Pole, Tarasivka, Uspenivka, Yelizavetivka, Vodyane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Promen, Kotlyarivka, Oleksiivka, Dachne and Ulakly.
Novopavlivske, Prydniprovske, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivsk sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled one enemy attack in the vicinity of Kostiantynopil.
In the Orikhivsk sector, near the village of Kamianske, the invaders made one futile assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Huliaipol and Prydniprovsky sectors.
In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks yesterday, the enemy fired 383 artillery rounds, two of which were from multiple launch rocket systems; carried out 33 air strikes, dropping 43 UAVs.
There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming on the Volyn and Polissya directions.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy from the territory of the Russian Federation is actively using artillery and aviation in the areas of Ukrainian settlements.
