        25 November 2025 07:09

Russia launched another large-scale combined attack on Ukraine overnight Tuesday, using cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, “Kinzhal” missiles, and a large number of strike drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, hostile UAVs were detected across the skies of eastern, northern, southern, and central regions. At 00:58, Ukraine’s military warned of ballistic missiles heading toward Kyiv.

        Kyiv Under Heavy Fire

The capital endured one of its most intense attacks in recent weeks. Authorities immediately urged residents to stay in shelters. In the Pechersk district, debris from a downed missile struck a 22-story residential building. Several floors were destroyed, triggering a large fire. In the Dnipro district, a nine-story apartment building caught fire — balconies and upper floors were burning.

Rescuers confirmed one fatality in the Dnipro district as a result of the strike and subsequent fire in the nine-story building. In total, seven Kyiv residents were injured, two of whom have been hospitalized. Eight people were rescued in the Dnipro district, while four more sought medical assistance on their own.

In Pechersk, emergency teams continued clearing debris. Several floors — the 4th, 5th, and 7th — were damaged. The fire there has been extinguished.

Kyiv also experienced power and water supply disruptions due to the strikes.

        Kyiv Region: Casualties and Damage

In Bila Tserkva, a 14-year-old girl was injured during the attack. Later, local authorities confirmed one person killed and another wounded. A multi-story residential building was partially damaged.

        Strikes Target Energy Infrastructure

Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy reported that the attack was also directed at energy facilities. Repair crews will begin work as soon as the security situation allows.

Russia has not commented on the overnight strikes. Ukrainian officials emphasize that these attacks are part of Moscow’s strategy to terrorize civilians during the cold season.

The attack remained ongoing for hours, with air-raid alerts continuing in several regions.
