        Massive attack on Kyiv: dozens of fires, destroyed houses, one dead and several injured

        On the night of November 14, Russia carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv. Numerous hits by debris on residential buildings in different areas have been recorded, with one fatality and at least 24 injured.

        Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported a massive attack on the capital on the night of November 14: air defense systems were activated in the city, and debris caused numerous fires and damage to residential buildings in various districts. Casualties were reported, and medics received a steady stream of new calls.

        In the Dnipro district, debris hit a five-story residential building, destroying one of the lower floors and setting two apartments on fire. Nine people were evacuated. Three apartment buildings and a private house were also damaged, and a fire was reported in an open area. In the Podilskyi district, fires broke out in several high-rise buildings and a non-residential building. In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell in the courtyards of residential buildings and on the territory of an educational institution, and a car caught fire.

        In the Shevchenkivskyi district, fires were reported in open areas and damage to an administrative building. In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out in a medical facility and a non-residential building was damaged. In the Desnianskyi district, fires broke out in several residential high-rise buildings. In the Solomianskyi district, the roof of a five-story building burned. In the Svyatoshynsky district, there were fires in residential and private houses. As of this morning, the head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Timur Tkachenko, reported 24 casualties and one fatality.

        According to the State Emergency Service, in the Podilsky district, a strike hit the 15th floor of a high-rise building, and 13 people were rescued. In the Dniprovskyi district, fires were extinguished in two apartments of a five-story building, and 17 people were rescued; at another address, the 19th and 21st floors were partially destroyed. Wooden buildings of a sports base were also on fire. In the Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out on the territory of a school. In the Desnianskyi district, a fire was localized on the 7th floor, 9 people were rescued and 50 were evacuated; at another address, one person died, 14 were rescued, and one was unblocked from under the rubble.

        In the Solomianskyi district, the roof and fifth floor of a residential building were on fire, and 20 people were rescued. In Sviatoshynskyi, a residential building was hit on the 7th floor and a 22-story building caught fire on the 19th floor. In the Obolonskyi district, apartments on the 7th to 9th floors of a 9-story building burned, and one person was rescued. In the Holosiivskyi district, debris fell on the territory of a hospital, and a fire in the building was extinguished separately. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, there was a fire in an open area and in an administrative building.

        There may be interruptions in electricity and water supply in the city. The attack on the capital continued throughout the night, with emergency services working at all locations.
