        Martial law and mobilization extended in Ukraine: Zelenskyy signs laws

        Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days, until May 4, 2026.

        This is evidenced by data in the draft laws No. 13471 and No. 13472.

        This is the 18th extension of martial law and mobilization since the start of the full-scale invasion.

        As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to extend martial law and general mobilization again on January 13. Before the vote, the relevant presidential decrees were unanimously supported by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security.

        During the plenary session, 330 parliamentarians voted in favor of extending martial law. The decision to extend general mobilization was supported by 312 MPs.

        The laws have been published on the Verkhovna Rada website and come into force from the moment of publication (martial law) and from February 3, 2026 (mobilization).
