On Sept. 22, at around 8:00 a.m., a man opened fire outside a high school in the city of Turgutlu in western Turkey. Two students were seriously wounded, and the suspect was detained.

The shooting took place on the morning of Sept. 22 outside a vocational and technical high school. According to preliminary information, the man came to the school armed and opened fire.
Surveillance cameras captured the suspect approaching the school with a weapon, opening fire and fleeing.
Two students who were on their way to school were seriously wounded and hospitalized.
Police reviewed surveillance footage and detained the man suspected of carrying out the attack.
