Recently, the pressure on Kurakhove by the occupiers has been actively intensified by new directions that threaten the logistics to the city. This is stated in a post by the DeepState project. To do this, the enemy has deployed a large number of resources in several areas of the frontline. In particular, the Russians are actively storming the eastern part of Kurakhove through Maksymilianivka, running to the eastern outskirts of the city. At the same time, attempts to break through in the vicinity of Ostrovske continue.
At the same time, the enemy is actively trying to reach the Illinka-Berestky settlement directorate to take control of the northern part of the city.
‘It doesn’t matter whether it is physical or fire, because the work of FPV drones has long had a significant impact on logistics, and this is the first thing the enemy is after. To implement this manoeuvre, the Russians have several options, which they are developing simultaneously – pressure from Kurakhivka, for which the battle is already underway, and probing the defences in the area of Novoselydivka-Izmailivka. The enemy forces have been deployed there in large enough numbers since the moment they were brought together for the battle for Ukrainsk-Cukurine-Hirnyk, and their number is not decreasing,’ DeepState stressed.
The analysts separately highlight another section of the front, where a larger goal of Russian troops is emerging, which is one of the most typical in the battle for large cities – to take control of logistics and gradually surround the settlement. At the same time, they are simply destroying the city.
‘After breaking through the defences in the area of Zolota Niva and Vuhledar, the enemy is actively continuing its movement through Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka and Bohoyavlenka, having already reached the Yasna Polyana-Maksymivka-Trudove section. The situation is being stabilised by all possible means, but so far it has not been successful. If the occupiers continue to make progress at the current pace, they will reach the H15 Zaporizhzhia-Donetsk highway soon, which will make it possible to block the most important and main logistics route to the city,’ OSINT analysts said.
‘So far, this is a large-scale vision of the developments that may take place around Kurakhove, and the enemy is not going to stop. Only time will tell how the situation will develop, but I would like to repeat and emphasise once again that lies will destroy us all. The situation around the loss of Selydove is an example of this…’
