Ukraine’s Eurovision 2026 representative LELÉKA took part in the opening ceremony of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The Ukrainian delegation walked the Turquoise Carpet stretching from the Burgtheater to Vienna City Hall.

According to Suspilne, bandura player Yaroslav Dzhus joined LELÉKA during the ceremony. As the Ukrainian delegation appeared, ONUKA’s track “Vidlik” was played.

For the event, the singer wore a light-colored outfit by Ukrainian brand LITKOVSKA, styled by Margarita Shekel. The look featured a soft blue flowing fabric designed to emphasize the ballad atmosphere of Ukraine’s Eurovision performance.

“For me, this outfit is about the strength to remain gentle. In this look, I feel like a true artist with inner strength — when form has character and strength has sensitivity,” LELÉKA said.

The artist’s look was completed with gloves that have already become a recognizable part of her Eurovision style, as well as custom-made shoes by Kachorovska.

Yaroslav Dzhus appeared on the Turquoise Carpet in a look described by stylists as a modern interpretation of a young Taras Shevchenko. Linen fabrics, an asymmetric vest and a black belt inspired by Cossack traditions became key elements of the outfit.

According to Margarita Shekel, a prayer for Ukraine was also placed under the musician’s clothing near his heart.

The grand final of Eurovision 2026 will take place in Vienna on May 16. Ukraine will perform in the second semifinal on May 14 under number 12.
