On the night of August 5, Russian forces carried out another massive drone and ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. One person was killed and 15 others were injured in the attack.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Fires and destruction were recorded in the Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Holosiivskyi and Desnianskyi districts of the capital.
In the Obolonskyi district, a non-residential building caught fire at one location. One person was killed and three others were injured.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, the attack caused a fire in a storage area of one of the shops.
In the Holosiivskyi district, single-storey non-residential buildings caught fire at two locations. The fires were extinguished. Four people were injured, two of whom were hospitalized.
At another location, a minor ammonia leak occurred on the premises of an industrial enterprise. Rescuers shut off the valve, and there is no threat to the public.
In the Desnianskyi district, a fire broke out in two non-residential buildings.
As of 06:16, the number of injured had risen to 15. Fires in the Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Desnianskyi districts have been contained. State Emergency Service units continue to deal with the consequences of the attack.
