Ukraine and the Netherlands have agreed to mobilize additional resources to expand the Drone Line project, now integrated into the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping. The announcement was made by Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Drone Line currently unites more than 1,000 crews and in January–February accounted for the destruction of every third Russian soldier on the front line. The project was initiated by the President of Ukraine to scale up the most effective unmanned systems units.
Since June 2025, the Drone Line has been part of the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping under the command of Robert “Madjar” Brovdi.
The project’s mission is to create a 10–15 km kill zone where the enemy cannot move without sustaining losses, provide continuous aerial support for infantry, and detect and eliminate targets before they reach Ukrainian positions.
Ukraine has already begun funding the creation of drone regiments and is expanding this model to all army corps. The sides also discussed support for the F-16 program, countering Russia’s “shadow fleet,” strengthening radar coverage, and supplying long-range artillery ammunition.
The minister thanked the Netherlands for its decision to transfer PAC-3 missiles and finance the PURL program, and stated that Ukraine is ready to provide partners with access to its defense innovations and establish a permanent mechanism for data and technology exchange.
