Six prisoners have escaped from penal colony No 2 in the Lipetsk Region, law enforcers are looking for the criminals, Governor Igor Artamonov said.
He urged residents of the region ‘not to give in to panic’.
‘We expect a large amount of fake news related to the escape. The information war continues and the AFU will not miss the opportunity to take advantage of this situation,’ Artamonov wrote.
The prisoners escaped from the Lipetsk colony through a dig, pursuit teams have been sent after them, the Ukrainian Federal Penitentiary Service said.
