Russian boxer Artem Suslenkov, who has a record of 15 wins in 15 fights, challenged Ukrainian former heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk to a bout. The Russian accompanied the post with a photo of himself in military uniform holding a weapon and the hashtag #BoxingOutsidePolitics.
Suslenkov wrote this on Instagram.
“Usyk, I’ll get you — either in the ring or in the field. Enough loud words. If we are boxers, let’s settle everything in the ring. No politics, no slogans and no unnecessary talk,” the Russian boxer wrote.
Suslenkov also called on those willing to organize such a fight to “make it a reality.”
“I’m ready. Usyk, now it’s your turn,” he added.
As Champion.com.ua writes, in his latest fight Suslenkov defeated Joe Joyce in Moscow by technical knockout in the 11th round.
Oleksandr Usyk defeated Rico Verhoeven in the spring. Deontay Wilder is expected to be his next opponent.
