Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar said he held talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels. During the meeting, he stated that Hungary would not send weapons or military equipment to the Russia-Ukraine war.
Magyar shared details of the meeting on social media.
According to him, the discussions focused on Hungary’s role within NATO and broader international security issues.
“Hungary will once again become a reliable partner of the world’s strongest military and defense alliance,” the prime minister said.
Magyar also noted that he and Rutte discussed the work of Hungarian troops participating in NATO’s peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.
At the same time, the Hungarian prime minister stressed that Hungary does not intend to supply weapons or military equipment for the Russia-Ukraine war.
In addition, Rutte briefed him on preparations for the NATO summit scheduled for July 7–8 in Ankara, as well as developments related to the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz.
