Hungary became the site of a serious accident involving a Ukrainian-registered bus in which nearly two dozen people were injured, most of them children.
According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cited by “European Pravda,” the traffic accident occurred on Sunday, July 6, between the Hungarian towns of Kunszentmárton and Tiszaföldvár.
Official reports state that 19 passengers were injured, including 17 underage Ukrainian citizens. At least two children sustained serious injuries and were urgently hospitalized in local medical facilities. Other victims also received medical care.
For the remaining 49 passengers, temporary accommodation and meals were arranged. Ukrainian diplomats immediately traveled to the scene to provide necessary support.
This is not the first such incident in recent times. On June 30, a Ukrainian bus was involved in an accident in Romania, injuring a Ukrainian woman and several passengers of a Romanian minibus, one of whom died.
