The 1,255th day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. From July 31 to August 1, 160 combat engagements were recorded. There were 47 battles in the Pokrovsk direction, 30 attacks were repelled in the Lyman direction, and the enemy carried out 32 attacks in the Novopavlivka direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy carried out 57 air strikes, dropped 127 guided bombs, carried out 5,835 shellings, including 126 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,098 kamikaze drones.
The aggressor carried out air strikes with guided bombs on the following settlements:
- Medvedivka — Chernihiv region;
- Bilohirya, Veselyanka, Hryhorivka, Stepnogorsk — Zaporizhzhia region;
- Novotyagynka — Kherson region.
Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions
In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 Russian attacks. The enemy carried out seven air strikes, dropping a total of 17 guided aerial bombs and firing 331 artillery shells, including four from multiple launch rocket systems.
South Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Lyman, and Siversky directions
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped seven enemy attacks in the area of the village of Vovchansk and in the direction of Dvorichansky and Kolodyazny.
Yesterday, there were three attacks by the invaders in the Kupiansk direction. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kupiansk and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 30 times, trying to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses near the settlements of Karpivka, Ridkodub, Mirne, and in the direction of the settlements of Shandryholove, Yampil, and Hryhorivka.
In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped seven enemy attacks in the direction of the settlements of Hryhorivka and Vyimka.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked six times in the direction of the settlements of Stupochky, Bila Hora, and Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks in the areas of the settlements of Diliivka, Toretsk, Shcherbinivka, and in the direction of Bila Hora, Stepanivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 47 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Mayak, Razine, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novoukrainka, and in the direction of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novopidhorne.
Novopavlivka, Prydniprovsk, Orikhiv, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out twenty-three attacks yesterday in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Yalta, Zirka, Piddubne, Tolstoy, Mirne, Shevchenko, Vilne Pole, Novosilka, Novopil, and in the direction of the settlement of Temyrivka.
No combat clashes were recorded in the Huliaipole direction.
The aggressor attacked twice in the Orikhiv direction — the occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Kamyanske and Mali Shcherbaky.
In the Dnipro region, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped one enemy attack.
In the Volyn and Polissya regions, there were no signs of enemy offensive formations.
