On the night of November 4, Ukrainian units struck strategic targets in Russia’s fuel and chemical industry, as well as a fuel and lubricants depot in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the infrastructure of the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez enterprise in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, was hit. This is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia with a maximum processing capacity of up to 18 million tons per year. The enterprise supplies fuel to the Russian occupation forces. As a result of the strike, a fire was reported on the territory of the plant, and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
The Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant in Bashkortostan was also hit. It is a key manufacturer of components for aviation gasoline used in the production of high-quality fuel for Russian aviation. Preliminary reports indicate significant damage to one of the workshops.
In addition, the results of previous strikes have been confirmed: a Russian military fuel and lubricant depot in the occupied territory of Kherson Oblast has been destroyed. Approximately 900 cubic meters of fuel and lubricants in twenty flexible tanks, as well as two pumping stations, were destroyed.
The General Staff emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to systematically reduce Russia’s military and economic potential in order to weaken its offensive capabilities and force it to stop its aggression against Ukraine.
