The death toll from the Russian guided aerial bomb attack on Kharkiv has risen to five. A total of 53 people were injured, including 30 who remain in hospital, three of them in extremely serious condition.
This was reported by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.
Three children are among the injured. All of them are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
Russian forces struck Kharkiv with three guided aerial bombs. The impacts were recorded at several locations — in an industrial area and near a residential high-rise building.
The attack damaged dozens of residential buildings, a civilian enterprise and at least 20 vehicles. The total area affected by fires is nearly 15,000 square metres.
Rescuers continue search-and-rescue operations. Emergency services are working at the strike sites.
Earlier, “Glavnoe in Ukraine” reported that three people had been killed and 39 were receiving medical assistance after Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv.
