A container reception building at the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility was damaged after being hit by a Russian drone. Energoatom reported the incident.
According to the company, the strike occurred on June 7 at 02:10. As a result of the UAV strike, the container reception building was partially destroyed. No spent nuclear fuel was stored in the building.
A fire covering 40 square meters broke out after the attack. The fire was quickly contained and completely extinguished.
No personnel were injured.
Energoatom emphasized that radiation levels at the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility remain within normal limits.
The company said it continues continuous monitoring of the situation and is fully cooperating with all relevant state services.
