30 January 2025 20:06

Search and rescue operations have been completed in Sumy at the site of a high-rise building destroyed by a Russian drone.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.

“The death toll has risen to 9 people. For 19 hours, rescuers have been dismantling the rubble, removing bodies from the ruins. 13 people were injured, including an 8-year-old girl,” the minister said.

Two apartment buildings and more than 20 cars were also damaged.

The mobile point of invincibility deployed by the rescuers continues to work around the clock.

“Police received 129 statements from local residents about the consequences of the Russian shelling. The process of documenting Russia’s war crime – a direct attack on civilians – is underway,” added Klymenko.
