Drones attack fuel and energy complex in Astrakhan region of Russia

On the night of 17 March, drones attacked fuel and energy facilities in the Astrakhan region of Russia.

This was announced by the governor of the region, Igor Babushkin.

According to him, Russian electronic warfare and air defence systems ‘worked as usual’, but due to ‘falling debris’, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the facilities.

‘The situation is under control, emergency services are working on the spot. The victim was hospitalised,’ said Babushkin.

Earlier, the infrastructure of the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant in the village of Aksaraysky was hit.
