On the night of January 24, air raid alerts were sounded in a number of Russian regions, and local authorities reported on the operation of air defense systems.

The drone attack caused damage to industrial facilities, oil depots, and energy companies, and disrupted the operation of a number of airports.

The published videos show the aftermath of the strikes on the Rostov oil refinery, the Kremniy plant in Bryansk, and the Engels oil depot in Saratov region.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also reported an “attempt” to attack the Russian capital with drones. According to him, air defense forces shot down several drones in the Moscow region.

Rosaviatsia suspended the operation of Domodedovo and Zhukovsky international airports in Moscow region. Later, the restrictions were extended to Vnukovo airport, where the “Carpet” plan was announced.

The airports of Kazan, Samara, Penza, Saratov, and Nizhnekamsk were also restricted. In the morning, Rosaviation announced similar measures at Ufa airport.
