        Drone attack in Russia: Fires at oil depots in Tula and Kaluga regions

        On the night of Saturday, 18 January, air defence systems in seven regions of Russia repelled a massive drone attack. This is reported by the Astra telegram channel. Local residents reported a fire near an oil depot in the Tula region.

        According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, 46 drones were shot down at night. In particular, 18 drones were shot down over Bryansk Oblast, 11 over Kursk Oblast, 7 over Kaluga Oblast, 5 over Tula Oblast, 3 over Belgorod Oblast, and 2 over Voronezh Oblast.

        At the same time, Astra notes that the report does not mention Smolensk region, where, according to Governor Vasily Anokhin, five drones were shot down in the Pochinkovsky district. Anokhin assured that there was no damage or casualties.

        In the Tula region, according to local residents, a drone strike caused a fire at an oil depot in the town of Uzlova. Regional governor Alexei Dyumin confirmed that a tank with fuel and lubricants caught fire. Fire brigades are working at the scene, and there are no injuries.

        The day before, on 17 January, drones attacked an oil depot in the town of Lyudinovo, Kaluga Region. According to local residents, explosions were heard in the area at around 10pm, followed by a fire. The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, said there were no casualties.
