The situation in the Kursk sector is deteriorating due to the enemy’s fire control over the logistics routes of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, according to a report by DeepState.

Since the beginning of the year, Russian troops have systematically increased their capabilities to control Ukrainian movement, but no proper measures have been taken to neutralise this threat in time, DeepState notes.

In February, the problem reached a critical point, especially after the loss of Sverdlikove, where attempts to regain control did not yield the expected results.

Russian troops managed to break through to Novenke, building up their forces in the area. However, it will be difficult for them to gain a foothold there due to the terrain. The Ukrainian command is expected to take stabilisation measures, but time will tell whether the enemy will be able to hold the positions they have taken. Currently, the Russians have the necessary resources and are trying to settle down.

The situation along the border between Zhuravka and Novenke remains alarming. It is from this area that the enemy is intensively shelling Ukrainian logistics on the Yunakivka-Sudzha route.

The military emphasise the need for an immediate response, as a significant number of vehicles have already been lost. The enemy continues to concentrate forces in the area of Sverdlikove, exerting pressure, and the worst-case scenario could be its advance to the outskirts of Sudzha, which would create additional threats to Ukrainian defence.
